A common complaint from the highly educated is that “less smart” folk seem to have it easier being successful.

The reason is obvious. The educated believe they’ve been told how the world works, and attempt to apply that knowledge to the analysis of their lives.

In reality, the educated are following stripped-down, belated facts with no context. All fragments, no synthesis. Makes them dumb in the face of real world complexity.

Entering into environments with ignorance and naiveté is how genuine knowledge is acquired. It’s where 99% of the functional information lives.

There are no words or symbols for what matters.
